Just because it’s done doesn’t mean it’s done.

Have you ever received a gift for no reason, without an occasion… it’s not your birthday, you haven’t done anything out of the ordinary to be expecting presents yet here you are holding that gift in your arms.

Our gift of FREEDOM is like that, it’s a gift that has been given out of His abundant love for us however it doesn’t just become a reality in our lives. We have to receive it, open it and learn to walk this freedom out within our lives.

The first part should be easy, just take the gift… but no we don’t want anything for free, we worked hard for all we have. Then if we do take it we have to open it, don’t just pile it up with all the other boxes of stuff in our lives …. Open it!!

What does your freedom look like?

Back in Old Testament times the Israelites walked in the desert for 40 years after being set free from slavery in Egypt. They could have simply walked into their promised land however they had to learn what it was to be free. The gift of freedom was theirs however they had not experienced freedom before and they didn’t understand they had to walk into the promises for their life. They had their freedom from bondage and slavery, now it was up to them to walk out that freedom … walk into their promise.

There was a point they even wanted to go back to the known, back to their slavery because living in Freedom was too hard it was not what they thought it would be.

When you have been enslaved to something, like a job that you hate so you can pay off that debt on your house, your car, your fridge, your lounge, the tshirt you are wearing and that coffee you paid for with afterpay. This slavery has now become your normal everyday life. Finding freedom from this place feels hard, it feels like a sacrifice, like you are losing not winning. Like you are giving up everything you have known and you are now going backwards. We say this because we have felt this reality too.

However this journey from the freedom we have been given to the freedom we live, is not meant to be done alone, we get to do it in Him, our Creator. Seeing everything with new eyes, HIS EYES.

When we see though our eyes we can become overwhelmed by our circumstances and by the issues and fears in the world around us but when we see though His eyes, the eyes of eternity that are not limited by time, we can see into the fullness of how everything was created to be. These eyes are the eyes of our hearts, of life, the eyes of kindness and hope, the eyes of joy, laughter and childlikeness. The eyes of peace and unconditional love.

It’s up to us to learn to be children of God not slaves of the system. And as children we have unbridled access to the Father, he is not a cold father too busy with work and grown up things, refusing to come out and play. NO, he is the father of FREEDOM, the Father of lights, He has made a way for us to walk with Him freely, to live a life of freedom, to follow the creative desires of your heart and to BE …. We are free YES, free, free , free and now we must learn to walk in that freedom His way not the way of captivity and enslavement but the way of truth and love.

Are we the Pioneers?

Are we the ground shakers, the chain breakers, the ones no longer content to be in the box? Yet we find ourselves in the flow of Gods goodness, we find ourselves in the midst of His desire to co-create with us, yes us His sons and what do we do? We take that divine inspiration and we start looking at what everyone else is doing. What are they doing with their divine inspiration and before we know it our new way of living is all packaged up in a nice neat box ready for the world to digest and to see, back in the nice little box we call me. COME ON you guys, really!!?

Let’s stop looking around and just look up, look inside, look with the eyes of our heart into the face of our Father. Get down on your knees and cry out with your face on the floor messy and free.

Let’s be overwhelmed by Him, let’s feast at the banqueting table in the presence of our enemies, not filled with fear but with awe and wonder that we are in Him and He is in us. Yahweh the creator of all this incredible creation that surrounds us is in me and I get to choose my own adventure. We get to step out on this unknown pathway with Him, empowered by Him and seeing through His eyes the way it is, the way it can be.

Wow wow wow, yes like beams of sunshine washing over us from heaven His love lights up the sky. Like waves crashing upon the shores of our heart His love flows through us as we surrender to the deepest desires of our being the ones placed there by Him the ones that long to co-create with Him, the desires that all creation groans for us to realise are there. Yes those life giving, joy bringing wildly abundant desires of the heart.

Abba, Father, Yahweh, Holy Spirit our friend, Jesus our brother, our door the one who made a way for us NOW so that we don’t have to die to know him more.

So do we step into the higher calling the destiny for which we were created, or do we simply turn away to settle for that which will never satisfy. Let’s embrace Him, let’s co-create with Him, Let’s live in freedom, the freedom his sacrifice gives us. Let’s live in the fullness of life, endless and free, me in Him and him in me!!

Joshua 3:4-5 Then you will know which way to go, since you have never been this way before…and the Lord will do amazing things among you

Hewbrews 12:1 Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we’d better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit!

Psalms 32:8-9 TPT I hear the Lord saying, “I will stay close to you, instructing and guiding you along the pathway for your life. I will advise you along the way and lead you forth with my eyes as your guide. So don’t make it difficult; don’t be stubborn when I take you where you’ve not been before. Don’t make me tug you and pull you along. Just come with me!”

It seems that if we take our eyes off the prize that we so quickly and easily can drown in this quagmire of endless fear and gloom. The enormity of what surrounds us as we navigate these unknown pathways constantly filled with this word, Unprecedented. When it feels like we could not possibly break anymore records because such great highs and such deep lows have already been achieved where now does the measurement of this prize reside?

Where in our world of displacement and loss can I lay my weary head? Do I stop in this valley of the shadow of death because I have no energy to hike this mountain side. Because the strength that is within me does not feel like it’s greater than the strength that is in the world. I see pictures in my mind of the Von Trap family leaving everything behind as they escape the war and walk to freedom. A world from the movies that felt so far in the past is now on our doorstep again as we struggle to make sense of the blatant power grabs, the seemingly endless dollars pulled from deep power hungry pockets spent on ammunition and death. People neglecting the basic rights of humanity to be loved and free.

Do I lay down in this valley, No! He calls me to lay down in green pastures beside the bubbling brook of bliss, the waters of His goodness where He restores my soul. He calls me into oneness with Him in these times of unrest and trepidation. He calls me into that place within myself where He chooses to dwell. He calls me to remember that from the beginning of the beginning that I have everything I need inside of me, and so do we all.

It’s in this place of revelation that He speaks to my soul reminding me that I must not cram the old into the new, like a reflex just doing what comes naturally. I must connect with and be guided by Wisdom, be counselled by the seven spirits of God and be immersed in friendship with the Holy Spirit. This is a revolution of which there is no turning back, it’s a dramatic and wide-reaching change in conditions, attitudes and operations. A turning from one way of doing everything and to embark upon a journey on the unknown pathways not reaching back picking up old programs and paradigms, but leaning forward into Him who is in me so that I may become the light, so that we may rise as an army of awakened souls ready to embark upon this incredible moment in time, the beginning of something NEW. The beginning of the New Now.

Psalm 23:1-3

Yahweh is my best friend and my shepherd. I always have more than enough. He offers a resting place for me in his luxurious love. His tracks take me to an oasis of peace near the quiet brook of bliss. That’s where he restores and revives my life.

Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

Philippians 3:14 TPT

I run straight for the divine invitation of reaching the heavenly goal and gaining the victory-prize through the anointing of Jesus.

As we set out on this Big Walk I had many preconceived ideas about what it would look like. I anticipated adventure, growth and a closeness to nature and one another that would take our walk with God and with each another to new levels. I underestimated the physical difficulties of this challenge and the elements of pushing forward that drives us to want to achieve something more, that goals mentality that precedes simply wanting to grow.

I have learnt that I am not that great at walking on sand, however I am still here in the shadows somewhere pushing through and at the end of the day I lay down in the same tent next to the man who is physically stronger than I am, breathing the same air and living within the reality of the same dream.

Courage has been uncomfortable, it’s been walking on the unknown pathways and facing the questions we have about ourselves and our life. It’s been facing failures, the ones in our past and the ones that feel like they are just over the hill in our future, the ones yet to come that haunt us, dangling their tentacles right there, like a smokescreen of doubts floating in the air of our dreams.

Courage is the ability to do something that frightens one … I have not been frightened by the walk as such but just by putting time and effort into something that becomes nothing at all. I have been frightened by the thought of wasted energy and time, by failure I guess, by not being something that matters. I have been frightened by my life having no meaning and no purpose at all.

So courage is a catalyst to not worrying about what anyone thinks, not listening to the haters, to the imaginary voices telling us we are crazy to think we can live outside the norm. Courage is embracing our truth, Him who is truth, Him who created us for more. Truth is a person and my truth is found in The Truth, who is Him.

This Mystical Pathway that we are on always has more questions. The depths of which this walk is only skimming the surface….

As we rest and recover before we begin again let’s press into the more…

I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back.

As we immerse ourselves in rest on this day of open portals and ancient pathways, we are surrounded by the thundering storms of 22/2/22 breaking open the new ways for the future.
He is sending us a message from within calling us into unity with Himself and with one another. As our world implodes whilst men in suits continue with the charade of keeping up appearances, He whispers to us His sons and daughters “Do not Worry, do not Fear, keep your eyes fixed heavenward, fixed on the centre of your being the place where I your creator, the one who loves you with an everlasting love dwells.” That place from which living waters flow out over the earth to bring about the restoration of all things…..

You are the New Thing that God is doing. Yes, it’s you and me, the son’s and daughters of our Creator Yahweh. The Light-workers, the ones whose lives have been radically transformed.

He is the one who knows how many hairs are on our head, how many stars are in the sky and grains of sand on the beach. He knows the deepest places of our soul and the desires of our heart. He knows us so intimately that if we live apart from Him we will never truely understand who we are.

This is a lifelong quest for intimacy with our creator and in turn a quest to discover who we were created to be. We are created for ONENESS. Oneness with Him and with one another. We are becoming a reflection of His goodness, a reflection of heaven and the life that flows from within us will be nourishment and living water to all of creation. This adventure on the unknown pathways is so incredibily exciting, it’s the beginning of the New Now.
